Norway's forth national communication on Climate Change under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
This report is Norway’s fourth national communication under the Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The first, second and third national communications were submitted in 1994, 1997 and 2002 respectively. The latest national greenhouse gas inventory report was submitted in April 2005. Norway ratified the UNFCCC on 9 July 1993. Norway ratified the Kyoto Protocol on 30 May 2002 and became a Party when the Protocol entered into force on 16 February 2005.

CICERO (Center for International Climate and Environmental Research - Oslo)
CICERO was founded by the Norwegian government in 1990, is an independent research center associated with the University of Oslo. CICERO's mandate is twofold: to both conduct research and provide information about issues of climate change.

GRID-Arendal
GRID-Arendal is the United Nations Environment Programme office in Norway, providing environmental information, communications, and capacity building services. As part of the global GRID network of cooperating centers, GRID-Arendal seeks to be a center of excellence for improving the accessibility and the application of scientific knowledge about the environment to policy formulation and decision-making processes. GRID-Arendal concentrates its efforts on the collection, integration, analysis and dissemination of environmental data from existing sources. GRID-Arendal's role within this global system focuses on the two polar areas, on the Nordic countries and their adjacent seas, and on strengthening generally the global environmental information system of UNEP.

The Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research, Bergen, Norway
It is a joint research venture that integrates scientific expertise and infrastructure from the University of Bergen (UoB), the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center (NERSC) and the Institute of Marine Research (IMR).
